Tamesis Dock is a truly distinctive London venue: a converted 1930s Dutch barge permanently moored on the River Thames between Lambeth and Vauxhall Bridge. Now operating as a walk-on neighbourhood bar, live music and events space, it combines character, riverside views and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Guests can enjoy impressive views towards the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and Battersea Power Station, with generous indoor and outdoor areas providing plenty of ways to enjoy the venue.
Located on Albert Embankment, Tamesis Dock is around five minutes' walk from Vauxhall and is also conveniently positioned for Westminster, Waterloo and Pimlico. The venue welcomes walk-ins as well as reservations and is dog-friendly, making it an easy-going choice for casual visits and special occasions alike.
The boat has a fascinating history, having previously been used to transport goods during the Second World War and, in another chapter of its life, as a Dutch champagne barge travelling between Paris and Holland. Today, it is known for its live music programme and has hosted artists including Bastille, Shame, Local Natives and Deap Vally, alongside food and music festivals, film shoots, product launches and Brit Awards after-parties.
